Experimental Department 1

In the experimental department 1 around 45 people are working in nine state-of-the-art research projects.

The main topics of our research are the magnetic properties of dimensionally reduced systems and their dependence on electronic structure, crystalline structure and morphology. This includes oligatomic films and sandwiches, wires and islands on the mesoscopic scale.
