Inverse-photoemission spectra of W(100), Nb(110) and Mo(110) in the low energy photon range
Surface Science, 13th European Conference on Surface Science (ECOSS-13) 307-309, (B),pp 969-972 (1994)
Low energy isochromat spectra of W(110), Nb(110) and Mo(110) were measured with h(cross) omega =3.1, 3.8 and 4.8 eV. The structure of these spectra is rather similar for the three studied metals. The wide high energy feature of these spectra is determined by bulk DOS distributions. However, two low energy peaks are identified as surface states at the following energies relative to the vacuum energy level: E/sub 1/=-1.2 eV and E/sub 2/=1.4 eV for W(110); E/sub 1/=-0.6 eV and E/sub 2/=1.4 eV for Mo(110) and E/sub 1/=-1.3 eV and E/sub 2/=0.8 eV for Nb(110).
