Electron pair correlation studied by advanced spectroscopies

Our aim is to investigate the electron-electron interaction in solids. This interaction is the ultimate reason for the emergence of so-called many-body effects of which ferromagnetism and superconductivity are a few. The experimental approach is to study the electron pair emission from surfaces via coincidence techniques. Besides our in-house activities we perform frequently experiments at national synchrotron facilities.

Our experiments can be devided into four sections:

1. Electron pair emission upon electron impact

2. Double photoemission

3. Correlated positron-electron pair emission from surfaces

4. Correlated double electron capture from metal surfaces
